Frame1973 Clive Stuart The frame and fork are very light, and are built from Reynolds "Special Lightweight" tubing and fork blades. Frame size is 60 cm CTT, top tube is 57 cm CTC, frame is spaced at 100 front, 120 rear. Serial number is 1014, which does not seem to follow the regular Holdsworth patterns. I believe that it is actually a Holdsworth Professional that was built for Clive Stuart, and given it's specifications and wear may have been one of their team bikes. I've compared the frame and fork side by side with another Holdsworth Pro and they are virtually identical. Except the Clive Stuart is considerably lighter!
WheelsCampagnolo high flange "No-Record" hubs laced to Nisi rims.
Chainset1973 Campagnolo crankset,
PedalsEarly Campagnolo Super Record, steel spindles.
GearsCampagnolo "Patent 73" rear derailleur, and an early circlip front derailleur. Downtube shifters are very early Super Record, with black lever stops
BrakesCampagnolo Record
Stem/BarsEarly Cinelli 1R stem with Cinelli Giro d'Italia bars
SaddleSelle Italia Turbo. Seatpost is an early fluted single-bolt Super Record
Extra detailsThis is a 1973 Clive Stuart-badged machine, which I believe is in it's original paint. This bike appears to have led a very active life, and looks as though it was a race bike. The frame and fork have had a lot of touch-up work done over the years, mostly paint chips. I did a great deal of touch-up on the decals, they had numerous chips and scrapes.
