FrameCinelli Super Corsa Leggerissimo. Seat tube 61cm ctt, top tube 58cm, wheelbase 99cm, chainstays 42cm
A lightweight frame, made by special order only through Brügelmann in Frankfurt, Germany. Through an exclusive arrangement with Cino Cinelli, these frames were built from special lightweight Columbus tubing and lightened lugs. In particular, the bottom bracket was drilled, and the rear dropouts were reshaped. Available only in the Brügelmann colors of yellow with red panels with no chrome.
This frame is an early one, and has no serial number. The only braze-ons are the cable guides on top of the bottom bracket shell and the rear derailleur cable stop
WheelsCampagnolo Nuovo Tipo 36h hubs laced to Nisi Moncalieri rims 4x. 14-28t Regina freewheel. Vittoria tubular tires
ChainsetCampagnolo Record 172.5 cranks with 42/54t rings. Regina chain
PedalsCampagnolo with Christophe clips and Alfredo Binda straps
GearsCampagnolo Nuovo Record rear, Patent 72, Campagnolo Nuovo Record front
BrakesCampagnolo Nuovo Record, flat quick release levers, with Nuovo Record brake levers
Stem/BarsCinelli 1a stem with oval logo, 110mm: Handlebar: Cinelli Giro d'Italia, crest/shield logos
SaddleCampagnolo Record seatpost with milled grooves, Cinelli Unicanitor Buffalo saddle
Extra detailsI acquired the bare frame and fork in a very well-worn state, missing a lot of paint. Luckily it still had some of the original transfers. Brian Baylis did a beautiful job of repairing the bike, and applied a faithful and historically accurate paint job.
I have built the bike with 1972 components, all Campagnolo Record and Nuovo Record, except the Nuovo Tipo hubs and Nisi rims.
Chris Wimpey:

I have started a registry of these bikes and have so far found only nine of them. Perhaps more will show up! Send details for the Leggerissimo registry to  cwstudio(at)aol.com
