ChainsetSR Royal crank set with factory drilled 53t chain wheel. on Campagnolo track bottom bracket unit.
PedalsCampagnolo Super Record track pedals with Christophe toeclips.
GearsHuret rear derailleur with drilled cages.(Apparently these are slightly heavier than the undrilled version, because of the strengthening needed on the drilled cages) with Suntour Winner six-speed free wheel
BrakesWeinmann drilled levers with extra drilling and Universal calipers with period drillings, NOS 1970s white cables

Extra DetailsAlf was one of the early English riders to start drilling and milling components to reduce weight, insist on super short-wheelbase frames, and 'man-sized' big chainrings, all of which Alan Shorter was happy to supply. The finished bike, ready to ride was only 8.6 kg's. Alan Shorter would have been proud.
