This website, Classic Lightweights UK, came into being when we decided to widen the appeal of the newsletter we produced, Cambridge Lightweight News. We have tried to keep the newsletter going alongside and it now covers all things lightweight, some classic and some more up to date as many collectors have modern bikes as well as the older classics.

Previously e-mailed to a limited distribution we are responding to requests for back issues by making them available online. This first upload is of the second 'volume' running from January 2006 to date. It is published on the first day of every second month. With the new distribution method we will be able to add more images to complement the text.

A second stage will allow us to upload the original set of Cambridge Lightweight News dated Autumn 2001 to December 2005. These started life as a letter circulated amongst some friends in the Lightweight world and gradually grew as more asked to be added to the mailing list.
