Left are two images of
Manchester-built frames using the Oscar Egg lugs shown in the
advertisment above. As the advert shows the importers of the Oscar Egg lugs were also based in Manchester so it would have been very convenient for L H Brookes and Johnny Berry to use this local source. Both machines belong to Keith Hellon |
Below are some Oscar Egg lugs used to build a 1958 Carlton Catalina. The decal in the left-hand image states, 'Oscar Egg Super Champion Lugs'. Bottom-left image shows the Oscar Egg bottom-bracket shell used on this frame- Thanks to Jerry Mortimore for the images and details
