A track event at the Staveley Works cycling track near Barrow hill in Chesterfield early 50's
I am led to believe it is the opening day and  Reg Harris opened the event, everyone thought he'd do a couple of laps
 but apparently he wanted paying extra for that, "instead he turned up in a white Jag wi a leggy blonde in tow" 
says rider pictured in second spot.
The track is still there but is now a golf driving range behind the Barrow Hill Steam railway/Turntable
...apparently the track wasn't used for that long as it was very fast and quite dangerous
