This machine
was purchased in 1952 from Geoff Kittle Cycles, Watton. In
the first year Brian was riding
it at a grass track event at Great Yarmouth and Gorleston Police Sports
when he was forced off the
track into the long-jump pit. This damaged the both the top
tube
and down tube so the frame was returned to Holdsworth for repair in
1953. When it was returned they had fitted the new
'Coronation'
headbadge with the crown superimposed and also applied the new script
downtube transfer.
