I bought the
frame on
E-bay and had it repainted by Bob Jacksons at Leeds. The forks
are not original to the frame but are the correct ones for the
year and model. I thought that the colours on the
1937
Claud which is already posted went well together so I decided on those,
with double box lining and block letterng on the down tube instead of
script. I also had the rear dropouts slightly widened.
My gear conversion from the previous Simplex was inspired by Bob
Damper's article on hybrid gears. Lighting: Lucas front lamp, Drydex
rear lamp, both battery operated |
