Frame
Baines 'Pennine Variable' - Frame No. 111;  20" seat tube; 22"  top tube; Finished in British Racing green, with lugs lined in gold. Head & Seat tube transfers supplied by Derek Athey, who obtained them from Willy Baines just prior to the shop closing, in the early 60s. Down tube re-created from the image in the catalogue (image below).
Wheels
Constrictor Boa alloy 26" x 1¼" rims on Airlite Continental g/fixed solid axle.
Chainset Williams C1000 (possibly the only item of origional equipment)
Pedals Lyotard rat trap
Gears Super Champion "Mondial 45 " 3 speed gear, with an early Simplex Lever
Brakes Early G.B Brake levers with Atala stirrups- .
Stem/Bars GB Pellisierbars with 2" G.B stem and Brampton headclip
Saddle Brooks B17 Standard with oval logo
Extra details Pump - Brittania. Mudguards - British Ace

The bike was given to me around June last year, it had been re-sprayed, I estimate 1960s.  The incorrect transfers had been fitted, and cable eyes brazed on, the rear dropouts had been drilled and tapped for mudguards, but fortunately, the origional mudguard eye had been left in place.  My task now, is to find the origional equipment as specified in the catalogue.
